Yonatan Berman

Yonatan is an attorney at the High Court of Justice Department in the Israeli State Attorney’s office. In the past decade, Yonatan has litigated hundreds of constitutional and administrative cases in the Israeli Supreme Court, in a wide variety of subjects related to government work and legislation. Most recently, Yonatan handled high profile petitions against policy measures enacted by the government in the fight against COVID-19, alongside petitions demanding wider economic stimulus and relief measures. Prior to his current role, Yonatan served as a senior law clerk in the Israeli Supreme Court. Through his work, Yonatan has led intergovernmental processes, settling legal disputes between different stakeholders. Yonatan earned an LLB and LLM, with Honors, from the Hebrew University, as well as a BA in Arabic language and literature.
