Berggruen Institute on Governance
- Nicolas Berggruen is the Chairman of the Berggruen Institute on Governance, a political think tank. He is also the Chairman of Berggruen Holdings, a private company, which is the direct investment vehicle of The Nicolas Berggruen Charitable Foundation.
- Born in Paris, he grew up in France and in Switzerland, before moving to the U.S. in 1979.
- Through the Berggruen Institute on Governance, an independent, nonpartisan think tank, he encourages the study, design and implementation of systems of good governance. He is a founder of the Institute’s 21st Century Council; a member of the Think Long Committee for California; and a member of the Council for the Future of Europe.
Committed to leaving a legacy of art and architecture, he sits on the boards of the Museum Berggruen in Berlin, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
