Nadia is joining HKS from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. As a strategy officer, Nadia partnered with teams across the foundation to shape their investment strategies and maximize impact. Most recently, she supported the development of the foundation’s strategy to eradicate polio in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Previously, she was a consultant at EY-Parthenon, where she worked with nonprofits to strengthen K-12 education in the United States. She graduated magna cum laude from the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she received a BS in economics and a BA in international studies. While at Penn, she won first place in a World Bank and Wharton-sponsored Ideas for Action competition. As an HKS/HBS joint degree student, Nadia aspires to design innovative approaches to addressing the demand-side barriers to development—for example, community mistrust that prevents vaccine uptake or social norms that limit women’s access to financial empowerment programs.
