Michael is an independent consultant with several years of experience working on environmental policy in Washington, D.C. He previously supported state officials as the energy and climate lead for the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators, served as a special advisor to the Deputy Secretary of Energy in the Obama administration, and worked on state engagement initiatives at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, Michael graduated with honors from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Science in environmental science and policy. His call to service is to help improve economic outcomes in disenfranchised and underserved communities through energy and innovation policy.
