Mackenzie designs large-scale poverty reduction programs in Indonesia, Kosovo, Malawi, and Guatemala at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, a U.S. foreign assistance agency. Before joining MCC, Mackenzie worked on poverty reduction initiatives with Dalberg, an international impact investor, and the U.S. State Department. At Dalberg, she developed strategies to catalyze investment in agriculture and provide finance to small enterprises in the missing middle. At Global Partnerships, she analyzed the impact of investment projects across ten countries, spanning agriculture, renewable energy, and microfinance. She also supported agricultural programs in Guatemala, worked with internally displaced persons in Colombia, and advocated for indigenous clients in Ecuador. On the policy side, she updated the Human Trafficking Report at the State Department in Peru and studied in Brazil with the U.S. Department of Defense. Mackenzie is a Truman Scholar and graduated with High Honors from Swarthmore College, with a BA in political science.
