Lia is dedicated to solving the climate crisis. She started her career as a climate expert at the U.S. Department of Transportation, where she served under Presidents Obama and Trump and became the youngest author of the National Climate Assessment. She has since worked on climate change in state government, academia, the private sector, and nonprofits. While at Harvard, Lia has been an editor-in-chief of the Harvard Environmental Law Review, a research assistant to several professors, a Teaching Fellow for Environmental Law, and a faculty member at Boston College. She graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Virginia with a double major in civil and environmental engineering and environmental sciences.
