- Laurie Melchior Scott is a private investor with a B.A. in economics from Wellesley College and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.
- She contributes time and financial resources to educational, cultural and health-related programs, and is working to help create a permanent initiative for teaching Leadership with Integrity, beginning in grade school and continuing throughout higher education and beyond.

Cherington Professor of Business Administration have each contributed to her sincere interest in understanding how public institutions and governments function and how they could be improved.
Laurie served as a trustee of the Benjamin School in Palm Beach and for eleven years as a director and executive committee member of the Hobe Sound Community Chest, where, among other activities, she focused on creating and funding mentorship opportunities for local students with Hobe Sound businesses.
She has served as an overseer at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, an overseer of Boston Children’s Hospital and is a member of the National Council of McLean Hospital. Laurie is delighted to be an active member of CPL’s Leadership Council at HKS and is honored to be contributing to CPL’s initiatives teaching and encouraging excellence and ethical leadership in public service.
