Landon grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where he discovered his passion for public service as a volunteer with Engineers Without Borders while studying industrial engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This experience led him to found a clean water nonprofit, the HydroLife Project, and subsequently begin his career in the remote Darien region of Panama as an engineer and project coordinator for a partner clean water nonprofit, Solea Water. He then spent ten months leading a research project with the Humanitarian Supply Chain Lab at MIT before joining McKinsey & Company in their Buenos Aires, Argentina, office.
