Jake Sortor

Jake majored in economics at the United States Air Force Academy, graduating in 2015. During his time there, Jake played Division I baseball, was a member of the parachute team Wings of Blue, and served as the cadet wing commander. After graduation, he served as a special operations intelligence officer, deploying to Iraq as a detachment director of operations in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Jake earned an MS in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University and returned to the USAFA as an instructor in economics. He is currently an intelligence officer in the Air Force Reserves. His long-term goal is to leverage his interdisciplinary background to craft and execute optimal public policy to enhance economic equity throughout the United States.
