Ivie Tokunboh

Ivie is a third-year medical student at the University of California, San Francisco. During her first year of medical school, she became the co-host of “Woke WOC Docs,” a podcast about the lives of women of color in medicine and health justice. As a co-host, Ivie leads interviews with various experts on public health topics and facilitates conversations on how to best support affected communities. Her work with “Woke WOC Docs” has inspired her to pursue a degree in public health, to ensure that she develops into an effective leader in health communication and health education. She is also passionate about advocating for wellness for all people and has been an invited speaker and facilitator for conferences and workshops centered on wellness. Ivie graduated from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts in human developmental and regenerative biology and a minor in social anthropology.
