Issam is passionate about economic development and the digital transformation of governments and public service organizations. Before coming to HKS, Issam worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company’s Casablanca office, where he advised several governments and private sector actors on various matters ranging from strategy to digital transformation. Prior to that, he co-founded the Moroccan Center for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship, a one-stop-shop for social impact in Morocco and Tamkeen and a project impacting thousands of high school students by teaching them skills for employment and empowering them to become changemakers. He has received various awards and distinctions for his work, including being named a British Council Future Leader, a Hammamet Fellow, and a One Young World delegate. Issam received a degree in civil engineering from the Ecole Hassania des Travaux Publics in 2018.
