Harvard Medical School
Master in Public Policy Candidate & Doctor of Medicine Candidate, 2023
Emma graduated from Dartmouth College with majors in sociology and biology, and served as a Community Impact Fellow at the Upper Valley Public Health Council. Before enrolling in medical school, Emma worked as a case manager and child life specialist on Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program’s Family Team, where she developed a trauma-informed, shelter-based summer enrichment program for homeless children. Emma is deeply engaged in advancing anti-racism in medicine and mobilizing institutional resources to serve unstably housed populations as an organizer with the HMS Racial Justice Coalition. Hailing from Vermont and currently living in Cambridge, Emma has partnered with city councilors and community coalitions to advocate for sustained investments in affordable housing and greater protections for people experiencing homelessness. She plans to become a primary care doctor and physician-activist, and will serve in the National Health Service Corps caring for underserved communities after her medical residency.
