Ariel Livneh

Ariel heads an operational branch in a research unit of the Israel Defense Forces. He has been serving in core analytical, operational, educational, and project management positions in the IDF since 2001, where he had unique impact in strategic national projects, several of which won the Israel Defense Award. Ariel holds a BA in political science and Jewish philosophy from Bar-Ilan University and an MA in medieval Jewish thought from the Hebrew University, both received magna cum laude. Motivated by the desire to address social tensions between religious and non-religious groups in Israel, Ariel promotes the establishment of joint educational institutes. He was among the founding families of Eliav, a joint secular-religious community in Israel’s southern region, where he and his wife, Daphna, raise their four daughters.
