Anisse Terai

Anisse is an international public servant, development practitioner, and political activist. He worked for a decade at the Islamic Development Bank, focusing on sovereign and infrastructure finance, international trade and investment, public policy, and technical assistance worldwide. Anisse is the founding managing director of ISEF, an innovative sovereign fund dedicated to the energy security of developing nations. An Algerian citizen, he also cofounded NABNI, Algeria’s first civil society think-and-do tank, and ATLAS, the Algerian Talents & Leaders Association. A part-time professor and columnist, Anisse was honored as a fellow of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and is also listed among the Top 100 Africa Future Economic Leaders by Institut Choiseul. He holds a bachelor’s degree from HEC Algiers and a master’s degree from Sciences-Po Paris, and he is an alumnus of the French Ecole Nationale d’Administration.
