Master in Public Policy Candidate, 2023
Before coming to Harvard, Alexandra gained experience working in the government, media, and education sectors. During college, she spent a summer interning on Capitol Hill for a Congressman from her home state of New Mexico. At the University of Oklahoma, she studied journalism and Spanish as a National Hispanic Scholar and graduated summa cum laude in 2017. After graduating, Alexandra became the first student from her university to intern at The Wall Street Journal in New York and subsequently went on to report for Bloomberg News. Her favorite job was working at an elementary school in the South Valley neighborhood in her hometown of Albuquerque. She is eager to apply the knowledge gained from the Latino Leadership Fellowship to help effect positive change in similar communities. Most recently, Alexandra received her master’s in political reporting from the Columbia University School of Journalism.
