Help low to moderate-income households achieve financial stability

United Way

This past year, United Way trained 294 volunteers, who committed nearly 7,500 hours to prepare over 8,000 tax returns. Many families served would have never filed on their own. Although faced with complications due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Free Tax Prep program was still able to deliver over 12,000,000 in refund dollars to families to help them avoid tax filing fees and receive on-time refunds they can put toward the costs of basic needs like food and housing. You can help by serving as a volunteer tax preparer or by providing funding to support volunteer recruitment and management, outreach to eligible tax payers, appointment scheduling and site operation.

Report COVID-19 scams

National Council for Safety, Protection and Wellness

Along with the FTC, Security.org is collecting national information on COVID-related scams. If you’ve been the victim of a COVID-19 scam, report it to our tracker below or email us directly. Information is power, and the more we know about how COVID-19 scams work, the safer we’ll be online.

Students vs Pandemics

Students vs Pandemics is a catalyst network solving time-sensitive humanitarian crises by empowering rising leaders and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. We are a group of grad and undergrad students working to improve transparency and communication, build community, and identify needs and innovate solutions. We do so by sharing health education material, resources for students, and opportunities to serve our greater community through our resources spreadsheet and Instagram, write policy memos for state legislators, address digital disparity, and launch other initiatives. Founded at Harvard, SvP gained over 100 members within a week of its launch and has now more than doubled that as we build a movement at universities across the nation.
