Lessons in Leadership: A Conversation with Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox

Please join the Center for Public Leadership and Taubman Center for State and Local Government for a discussion on the topic of compassionate conservatism with The Hon. Spencer J. Cox, Governor of Utah. Governor Cox was sworn in as Utah's 18th governor on January 4, 2021. Formerly Utah's Lt. Governor, Gov. Cox has a long history of public service in Utah, serving as City Councilor and Mayor for the city of Fairview, Sanpete County commissioner, and a member of Utah's House of Representatives. 

During the conversation Governor Cox will discuss his campaign, which focused on unity and compassionate conservatism, as well as how his team ensured a successful transition of power. He will also discuss his service as Lt. Governor and work to navigate local, state, and federal policies to help Utah thrive. 

This conversation will be moderated by Prof. Roger Porter, IBM Professor of Business and Government at HKS.
