Advancing knowledge through excellent faculty and research.
Harvard Center for Public Leadership faculty and research fellows drive the mission of center, pressing the frontiers of knowledge about leadership and translating theory into applied practice in fresh ways. Their cutting-edge research has generated seminal books and papers on the study of leadership, and our effort to bring their knowledge to students has made our courses among the most popular at Harvard Kennedy School.
The members of Harvard's faculty are dedicated teachers, but more than that, they are mentors and advisors who guide students through their time at Harvard Kennedy School and into the professional world.
The Center for Public Leadership provides grants for innovative faculty research across Harvard, annual research conferences and seminars; and executive education in leadership.
Cultivating leaders, cultivating change.
Our vibrant community of students are the heart of the Center for Public Leadership. From social entrepreneurs, to policy advocates and dedicated public servants at various stages in their careers, our students actively participate in shaping their education through workshops and shared experiential opportunities at the center. The intimate learning environment breeds a camaraderie among students that extends long beyond their years at Harvard Kennedy School. Businesses are launched and lifelong friendships are formed.
With the support and intellectual guidance of our Leadership Council, we are expanding our portfolio of work to meet the needs of leading in a new era, tackling themes of technology, leadership and diversity, and behavioral science.
